As enterprise AI adoption accelerates, security teams are struggling to maintain visibility and control over how data is accessed and used. Symmetry Systems has announced a major platform update designed to address these challenges with enhanced AI governance, large scale graph analytics, and new integrations.
The Symmetry AIGuard enhancements form the core of this update, strengthening the platform’s ability to monitor and control how AI models interact with sensitive enterprise data. The new capabilities introduce deeper visibility into AI usage, helping organizations detect risks such as unauthorized access, data leakage, and misuse of AI systems without slowing innovation.
A key addition is token usage tracking, currently in beta, which provides granular insight into how AI tokens are consumed across users, applications, and models. By correlating token activity with data access patterns, security teams can identify anomalies such as spikes in usage that may indicate potential data exfiltration or prompt injection attacks. This transforms token consumption from a billing metric into a meaningful security signal.
“These aren’t separate features. They’re one platform getting smarter,” said Mohit Tiwari, Co Founder and CEO of Symmetry Systems. “Every enhancement this quarter reinforces the same thesis: the relationships between identities, permissions, and data are the most important thing in security, and the Identity x Data Graph is the best way to understand them. We’re making that graph faster, more explorable, and accessible from the tools security teams already use.”
Beyond AI governance, the company has reengineered its Identity x Data Graph visualization engine to support environments with over one million nodes and millions of relationships. This advancement allows security teams to explore complex connections between users, systems, permissions, and data in real time. New features such as dynamic search, filtering, and timelapse visualization enable analysts to track how access patterns evolve and identify potential risks more efficiently.
The update also introduces integration with Claude Code, enabling natural language queries directly against the data graph. Security engineers can now ask complex questions in plain language and receive contextual, prioritized insights without relying on custom query languages or manual analysis. This integration brings AI driven reasoning into everyday security workflows, improving speed and accessibility.
The Symmetry AIGuard enhancements reflect a broader shift toward data centric security models that focus on relationships between identities, permissions, and data rather than isolated alerts. By combining large scale graph analytics with AI powered insights, Symmetry is enabling organizations to better understand and manage risk in increasingly complex environments.
As enterprises continue to embed AI into critical business processes, the ability to monitor usage, enforce policies, and investigate risks at scale will be essential. The latest updates position Symmetry Systems to help security teams move from reactive monitoring to proactive governance, ensuring that AI adoption is both secure and sustainable.
