SkillBit has been chosen as an official competition host for the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) 2026, marking a significant milestone for the company’s role in large-scale cyber training and simulation. The 2026 edition of the ICC is scheduled to take place from May 18–21 at the AUSCERT Conference on Australia’s Gold Coast, bringing together elite cybersecurity talent from more than 80 countries. Teams representing regions including Oceania, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, the United States, and Canada will compete in advanced technical challenges designed to test real-world cyber defense and offensive skills.
As part of the collaboration, SkillBit will provide the core competition infrastructure, delivering a scalable platform capable of supporting complex, real-time cybersecurity exercises. The platform is designed to handle both Jeopardy-style challenges and Attack/Defense Capture the Flag (CTF) formats, while also offering visibility tools for coaches and administrators to monitor team performance.
Thomas Rogers, Co-Founder and President of SkillBit, said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on hands-on, practical cybersecurity training. He noted that hosting the ICC provides an opportunity to demonstrate how real-world skill development can be delivered at the highest level of competition.
Roman Bohuk, Co-Founder and CEO of SkillBit, added that being selected for the event validates the platform’s scalability, realism, and technical depth. He emphasized that the company aims to deliver a seamless and engaging experience for both participants and organizers.
Organizers of the ICC highlighted SkillBit’s ability to support demanding competition formats as a key factor in its selection. Joshua Scarsbrook, a member of the organizing committee, said the platform will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the 2026 event by enabling a high-quality and reliable competition environment.
The International Cybersecurity Challenge serves as a global benchmark for emerging cyber talent, promoting collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the cybersecurity community. By leveraging SkillBit’s infrastructure, the 2026 competition is expected to deliver enhanced performance, improved engagement, and greater operational efficiency. The selection underscores SkillBit’s growing influence in the cybersecurity training space, particularly in enabling immersive, scenario-based learning environments that mirror modern threat landscapes and prepare professionals for real-world challenges.
