Pluralsight has introduced SecureReady, a comprehensive cybersecurity training solution designed to help organizations address growing skills shortages and strengthen their overall security posture. The new platform is aimed at Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and IT leaders seeking to move beyond basic compliance training and build practical, role-specific capabilities across their security teams. SecureReady combines on-demand learning content, hands-on labs, and expert-led sessions to create a structured, end-to-end training environment.

According to Pluralsight CEO Erin Gajdalo, the primary weakness in modern cybersecurity is no longer technology alone, but the gaps in skills, processes, and preparedness within organizations. She noted that SecureReady is designed to provide a scalable and measurable approach to improving readiness and reducing risk. The launch comes at a time when organizations are facing escalating cyber threats alongside a significant talent shortage. Industry estimates suggest global cybercrime costs could reach $15.63 trillion annually by 2029, while millions of cybersecurity roles remain unfilled worldwide.

SecureReady addresses these challenges by aligning training programs with established frameworks such as those developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the NICE framework, and the Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Framework. This alignment ensures that learning paths correspond directly to real-world job roles and organizational needs.

A key feature of the platform is its ability to rapidly respond to emerging threats. Pluralsight stated that new training content can be released within 48 hours of major vulnerability disclosures, helping teams stay current in a fast-changing threat landscape.

The solution also includes advanced, enterprise-grade labs that simulate real-world attack scenarios. These environments allow security professionals to practice defending against complex threats such as lateral movement, credential compromise, and infrastructure takeovers. By emphasizing hands-on experience, SecureReady aims to build the practical skills and decision-making capabilities required during high-pressure incidents. Pluralsight has further strengthened the offering through accreditation from the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) for multiple security role paths, providing third-party validation of the program’s quality and relevance.

John Elliott, a cybersecurity fellow at Pluralsight, emphasized that effective security today depends on continuous skill development and the ability to act decisively during incidents. He noted that training in realistic environments helps teams move from reactive defense to proactive threat anticipation With SecureReady, Pluralsight is positioning itself to help organizations transform cybersecurity from a compliance-driven function into a continuous, skills-based capability, enabling teams to better defend against increasingly sophisticated attacks.
