Naru Security and Viaweb have jointly introduced a new “zero-trust hosting” model aimed at strengthening cybersecurity for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), particularly those with limited security resources. The collaboration is designed to address a persistent gap in SMB security, where organizations often lack the budget, expertise, or dedicated teams required to deploy and manage traditional cybersecurity solutions. By embedding security directly into hosting infrastructure, the new model enables built-in threat detection and response without the need for additional tools or personnel.

The zero-trust hosting approach integrates Naru Security’s subscription-based breach assessment service, ZeroTiCA, with Viaweb’s hosting platform. The combined solution continuously monitors network data to detect anomalies, while security specialists analyze alerts to determine whether an actual breach has occurred. This architecture allows businesses to access enterprise-grade threat detection and response capabilities simply by using hosting services, eliminating the complexity of managing separate security systems.

The launch comes amid a rise in cyber threats such as ransomware, data breaches, and web shell attacks, which increasingly target smaller organizations. With the expansion of cloud adoption and remote work, attack surfaces have grown more complex, leaving many SMBs exposed. Industry experts have long identified smaller businesses as a “security blind spot” due to their limited ability to implement comprehensive defenses. The new model aims to close this gap by delivering integrated protection at the infrastructure level.

Under the partnership, the two companies will collaborate on joint development, operations, and go-to-market efforts. This includes shared initiatives in security data collection, threat analysis, and coordinated sales and marketing strategies to expand adoption of the model.

Viaweb CEO Park O-chan described the initiative as a step toward transforming hosting services into platforms where security is built in by default, rather than added as an afterthought. He noted that the goal is to help customers operate in a safer and more resilient digital environment.

Naru Security CEO Kim Hyuk-jun emphasized that the solution was developed with the realities of SMBs in mind, where building and maintaining independent security frameworks can be challenging. He added that the partnership aims to promote a new model in which protection is integrated from the infrastructure stage. By combining hosting and security into a single offering, Naru Security and Viaweb are positioning zero-trust hosting as a practical and scalable solution for SMBs. The approach reflects a broader industry trend toward embedding security directly into core IT services, making protection more accessible and easier to manage for organizations of all sizes.
