Kyndryl Foundation has announced the recipients of its third-year global grant program, expanding its reach to 13 countries and reinforcing its commitment to advancing cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI) skills worldwide.
The latest expansion introduces France and Mexico as new regions in the initiative, marking continued growth in the foundation’s efforts to address the global digital skills gap. Through this year’s grants, the foundation aims to support workforce development programs expected to benefit more than 100,000 individuals globally.
The grants will fund nonprofit-led initiatives focused on hands-on training, mentoring, and job-readiness programs. These initiatives are designed to equip participants with in-demand skills in cybersecurity and AI, while also helping connect them to employment opportunities in the digital economy.
According to the foundation, the third-year portfolio includes both returning multi-year partners and new organizations that emphasize digital inclusion and workforce readiness. The program prioritizes practical learning experiences that prepare individuals for real-world roles in technology-driven industries.
Una Pulizzi, President of the Kyndryl Foundation and Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Kyndryl, said the initiative is focused on deepening its impact by strengthening digital skills development in communities around the world. She highlighted the importance of creating accessible pathways into careers in cybersecurity and AI, particularly as demand for these skills continues to grow.
The foundation also noted that several of the supported programs align with government-led workforce development initiatives, contributing to national and regional efforts to build future-ready talent pools With this expansion, Kyndryl Foundation continues to position itself as a key contributor to global digital upskilling, helping bridge talent gaps while promoting inclusive access to opportunities in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
