Dashlane has announced a new integration with KnowBe4 aimed at combining credential protection with human risk management. The collaboration introduces a model that connects real-time detection of credential threats with immediate, targeted security training for employees.

The integration brings together Dashlane’s Omnix platform and KnowBe4’s training ecosystem to address one of the most persistent challenges in cybersecurity human behavior. According to new data from Dashlane, nearly one-third of corporate logins rely on weak or compromised credentials that exist outside single sign-on (SSO) systems and are not protected by password managers, leaving them largely invisible to IT and security teams.

The joint solution focuses on delivering training at the exact moment a risk is identified. When Dashlane detects suspicious activity such as the use of compromised credentials or an attempt to enter a password on a phishing site it immediately triggers relevant training content through KnowBe4.

This approach shifts away from traditional security awareness programs, which are often scheduled periodically and lack context By delivering guidance in real time, the integration aims to improve user awareness and reinforce secure behavior when it matters most.

John Bennett, CEO of Dashlane, said the partnership leverages Dashlane’s visibility into user behavior within the browser alongside KnowBe4’s extensive training content to help organizations build a more proactive security culture.

The integration creates a continuous feedback loop in which risky behavior is detected, addressed, and corrected through targeted education. For example, if an employee interacts with a phishing page, Dashlane flags the risk and initiates training that helps the user recognize and avoid similar threats in the future. This closed-loop system is designed to reduce credential exposure, lower the likelihood of breaches, and improve overall organizational security without disrupting employee productivity.

Greg Kras, Chief Product Officer at KnowBe4, noted that combining real-time detection with adaptive training transforms human risk management into an active defense layer, helping prevent credential-based attacks before they escalate.

The integration also aims to ease the workload for IT and security teams by automating responses to credential-related risks. Instead of manually reviewing alerts and assigning training, organizations can rely on the system to trigger appropriate actions automatically based on detected threats.

Scott Holleran, Senior Vice President of Technology at Vertex Service Partners, said the integration has streamlined efforts to improve employee security habits while allowing his team to focus on broader security initiatives.

The combined solution is now available for organizations using Dashlane Omnix and KnowBe4. It can be enabled through the Dashlane Admin Console, where administrators can map credential risk signals to corresponding training modules.By aligning real-time threat detection with immediate user education, Dashlane and KnowBe4 are positioning the integration as a new approach to reducing human risk and strengthening enterprise defenses against credential-based attacks.
