At the recently held Huawei Network Summit 2026 (HNS 2026) in Cairo, Egypt, Huawei officially introduced its upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Network tailored for Northern Africa. Through this launch, the company reinforces its commitment to secure intelligent connectivity while accelerating industrial intelligence across the region. Moreover, Huawei aligns this innovation with the evolving demands of the Agentic AI era, where networks are becoming more autonomous, intelligent, and secure.
During the event, Yang Chaobin, Executive Vice President and CEO of Huawei’s ICT Business Group, highlighted the transformation of enterprise networking. He stated, “Enterprise networks are becoming AI centric, shifting from ubiquitous ultra-broadband to Lossless Compute, Integrated Sensing and Communications, Full-scope Security, and Network Autonomy. Huawei is focused on providing ‘AI for All, All on Secure IP’, and forging secure and intelligent next-generation networks that unlock new possibilities in the AI era.” His remarks emphasized Huawei’s forward-looking approach, especially as industries increasingly depend on AI-driven infrastructure.
In addition, Rock Qin, Vice President for Northern Africa (North, West & Central Africa), Huawei, addressed the strategic importance of security and AI. He explained, “AI and security are the main themes for the future development of networks. Huawei has proposed five inclusive strategies in Northern Africa, working closely with customers in areas such as government, education, and finance to jointly build advanced and secure networks.” This clearly indicates Huawei’s collaborative efforts with regional sectors to strengthen digital ecosystems.
Furthermore, Huawei unveiled a comprehensive range of new Xinghe Intelligent Network products and solutions. Richard Wu, Vice President of Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, stated, “To address intelligence challenges, Huawei has upgraded its Xinghe Intelligent Network to adhere to the philosophy of secure intelligent connectivity. This upgrade brings three key capabilities: green ultra-broadband, security & resilience, and network autonomy. Together, they strengthen the network foundation, ensure business stability, and enhance network intelligence, advancing industrial all intelligence for Africa.”
Notably, the upgraded network introduces several advanced features designed to meet modern AI-era requirements. For instance, the Pre Wi-Fi 8 solution significantly boosts wireless performance to twice the industry average. Additionally, the full-scope security campus solution strengthens protection across enterprise environments. Meanwhile, iFlashboot 2.0 guarantees uninterrupted inference services, ensuring a seamless user experience.
The company also enhanced its data center capabilities with StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0, which improve resilience and operational efficiency. At the same time, Huawei introduced an industry-first intelligent intrinsic security board to defend against WAN attacks, along with Agentic SOC to enable autonomous and intelligent security operations.
To conclude the summit, Huawei honored its long-term partners—ACUD, ENR, and TMG—with awards celebrating a decade of collaboration in the data communication domain. Overall, this launch marks a significant step in advancing secure, AI-powered networking infrastructure across Africa.
