AvePoint  has introduced new upgrades to its Confidence Platform, aimed at helping organizations move from AI visibility to active enforcement while addressing growing risks across multicloud environments and autonomous AI systems.

The latest updates focus on strengthening cyber resilience, improving governance of AI agents, and enabling scalable IT operations for enterprises and managed service providers. As organizations increasingly adopt AI and cloud technologies, AvePoint is positioning its platform to manage the complexity and security challenges that follow.

A central feature of the update is a shift toward what AvePoint calls “Minimum Viable Company” (MVC) recovery. Instead of focusing solely on restoring data after a disruption, the platform prioritizes restoring critical business operations first. This approach is powered by a new Rapid Recovery System, which orchestrates recovery workflows and enables high-speed restoration of key workloads, identities, and infrastructure.

John Peluso said the change reflects a broader evolution in cybersecurity strategy, where disruptions now impact interconnected systems rather than isolated workloads. He noted that prioritizing essential operations allows organizations to maintain continuity during incidents more effectively.

The company is also expanding its data protection coverage across cloud and SaaS environments, including support for Microsoft Azure databases and enhanced integrations with enterprise platforms such as Bitbucket and identity management systems.

In response to the rapid growth of AI agents, AvePoint has introduced new governance capabilities that provide deeper visibility into how these agents access sensitive data. Enhanced role-based access controls ensure that AI systems operate within defined permissions, helping reduce exposure and enforce security policies at scale.

Additionally, the platform introduces new tools for managed service providers, enabling centralized management of users, applications, devices, and cloud environments across multiple tenants. Features such as automated license management, configuration monitoring, and cloud security posture management are designed to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency.

Scott Sacket highlighted that governance remains a key challenge for organizations adopting AI at scale. He said the new capabilities aim to transform governance from a complex, manual process into a standardized and scalable service With these updates, AvePoint is addressing the growing need for integrated security, governance, and resilience solutions as enterprises navigate increasingly complex digital ecosystems driven by AI and multicloud adoption.
