As Europe faces rising cyber threats and regulatory pressure, the OVHcloud S2GRUPO partnership marks a significant step toward strengthening digital sovereignty and resilience across critical infrastructure sectors.

OVHcloud and S2GRUPO have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at delivering fully European cloud and cybersecurity solutions. The partnership combines OVHcloud’s sovereign cloud infrastructure with S2GRUPO’s expertise in advanced cybersecurity, offering organizations a secure and compliant alternative to non European providers.

The alliance comes at a time when digital sovereignty is becoming a central priority for governments and enterprises alike. Increasing reliance on global cloud providers, particularly from outside Europe, has raised concerns over data control and exposure to extra territorial regulations. At the same time, cyber incidents targeting European organizations have surged, with critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, transport, and utilities facing heightened risk.

OVHcloud brings a strong foundation to the partnership, operating 46 data centers globally, including 21 in Europe, and maintaining full control over its technology stack. Its cloud solutions meet stringent compliance standards such as HDS, PCI DSS, and SecNumCloud, enabling organizations to manage sensitive data within a secure and sovereign framework.

S2GRUPO complements this with deep expertise in both IT and operational technology cybersecurity. The company delivers end to end services including managed detection and response, threat intelligence, and incident response, specifically tailored for highly regulated and mission critical industries. With operations spanning more than 35 countries, S2GRUPO focuses on protecting critical infrastructure using European built technologies and open source systems.

The OVHcloud S2GRUPO partnership is designed to address both security and regulatory challenges. The European Union has already taken steps to strengthen cybersecurity through frameworks such as the NIS2 Directive, which establishes requirements across 18 critical sectors. Countries including Belgium and the Netherlands are advancing national implementations, increasing compliance expectations for thousands of organizations.

By offering integrated cloud and cybersecurity capabilities, the partnership aims to help organizations meet these evolving requirements while maintaining full control over their data. This is particularly critical for industries where operational continuity and regulatory compliance are essential, including manufacturing, public services, and industrial systems.

“In today’s geopolitical context, digital sovereignty is no longer optional it is essential. We are proud to collaborating with S2GRUPO to help European businesses and institutions tackle their mission-critical and data-sensitive projects with the utmost respect for sovereignty and security. This partnership reinforces our commitment to providing sovereign cloud solutions that enable European organisations to retain control over their data and infrastructure.” said Sylvie Houliere Mayca, Head of France Middle East Africa BeLux at OVHcloud.

“Cybersecurity is a cornerstone of digital sovereignty. Together with OVHcloud, we provide a uniquely European proposition that combines secure cloud infrastructure with advanced IT and OT cybersecurity capabilities, ensuring that Europe’s critical assets remain protected.” said Robin Goudappel, Managing Director BeNeLux for S2GRUPO.

The OVHcloud S2GRUPO partnership reflects a broader shift toward regional technology ecosystems that prioritize sovereignty, compliance, and resilience. As geopolitical dynamics reshape the digital landscape, collaborations like this are expected to play a key role in securing Europe’s digital future and reducing dependence on external providers.
