Paladin EnviroTech has announced the acquisition of ICT as part of a $70 million (€60 million) expansion strategy aimed at scaling secure IT asset disposition (ITAD) services globally.
The move strengthens Paladin’s presence in Europe, particularly in Dublin—a region widely recognized as a major data center hub. With this acquisition, Paladin enhances its ability to deliver end-to-end ITAD services, including secure data destruction, electronics recycling, and chain-of-custody management.
ICT, founded in 2003, is a well-established player in Ireland’s ITAD sector and the country’s first provider to achieve R2v3 certification. Over the past year, the company has processed more than 2,000 tons of electronic waste and securely destroyed over 500,000 data-bearing devices. Its services span enterprise clients, hyperscale data centers, and public sector organizations.
The integration will expand Paladin’s in-house capabilities, particularly in on-site data destruction. ICT’s mobile shredding solutions and secure logistics model align with Paladin’s focus on maintaining strict control over data handling while minimizing reliance on third-party vendors. This approach is designed to reduce risk, improve accountability, and ensure compliance with global security and environmental standards.
Following the acquisition, ICT will transition under the Paladin brand and relocate to a newly leased 52,000-square-foot processing facility in Dublin. The new site is expected to serve as a central hub for secure IT asset processing and recycling operations across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
This acquisition reflects a broader trend in the cybersecurity and IT lifecycle management space, where organizations are prioritizing secure data disposal alongside sustainability. By combining ITAD services with environmental responsibility, Paladin aims to help enterprises manage end-of-life technology without compromising data security or regulatory compliance.
