As cyber threats grow more sophisticated and frequent, organizations are increasingly turning to strategic partnerships to strengthen defenses and scale cybersecurity capabilities across regions. Entrust has partnered with Chillisoft to expand its presence in Australia and New Zealand, addressing rising demand for identity security and data protection solutions. The Entrust Chillisoft cybersecurity partnership focuses on strengthening channel reach, improving market awareness, and supporting organizations facing increasingly complex threat environments.
Cybersecurity remains a top priority for executives, particularly as businesses contend with well organized threat actors who operate in coordinated groups. These attackers continuously identify vulnerabilities, develop exploits, and deploy malicious payloads, forcing defenders to adopt equally collaborative and strategic approaches.
Marc Airo-Farulla, Sales Director for Asia Pacific at Entrust, emphasized the importance of finding the right regional partner to support growth. “We were looking for a partner to help us grow our business in Australia and New Zealand. We chose Chillisoft last year. They’re providing genuine support and local boots on the ground to connect us with the right resellers.”
Chillisoft’s approach centers on working closely with a focused group of cybersecurity vendors, helping them scale in markets where they may lack extensive local teams. CEO Gavin Lawless highlighted the company’s role in enabling growth for emerging vendors.
“We know cybersecurity very well. We don’t represent dozens and dozens of vendors. We focus on a smaller group of vendors to help them scale their businesses. We exist because fast-growing emerging vendors need help scaling their businesses. Invariably, those vendors don’t have large teams in ANZ so we become an extension of their organisation and provide them with services to grow their businesses.”
The Entrust Chillisoft cybersecurity partnership is already helping Entrust expand its channel ecosystem, identify new partners, and equip them to deliver its solutions to customers. Entrust’s portfolio, which includes hardware security modules and certificate management technologies, is gaining traction as organizations prioritize identity security and secure communications.
Marc also pointed to the increasing importance of identity protection in the current threat landscape. “There are principles that globally we’re talking about and Australia is no different,” he said. “Whether it’s zero trust or multi-factor authentication, we’re seeing it in everything we do as citizens. ASD has spoken publicly on some of the challenges. Cyber criminals are relentlessly targeting to get accounts and account information.”
The partnership comes at a time when cybersecurity complexity is rising due to evolving attack methods, limited skilled resources, and budget constraints. Lawless noted that organizations must also prepare for upcoming changes in digital certificate management and the impact of emerging technologies.
“There are many changes coming and a significant part of our job is education and increasing awareness. With so much change happening in the area of digital certificates, many organisations don’t know how these changes will impact them, what issues they might face and what their liabilities could be.”
Looking ahead, both companies are also monitoring the implications of quantum computing and evolving regulatory requirements. With certificate lifespans expected to shorten significantly in the coming years, organizations will need to adopt more advanced management processes to maintain security and compliance.
The Entrust Chillisoft cybersecurity partnership reflects a broader industry trend toward collaboration as a means to address increasingly complex threats. By combining local expertise with global security capabilities, the alliance aims to help organizations in the ANZ region strengthen resilience and prepare for the next wave of cybersecurity challenges.
