KnowBe4 has introduced a new AI-driven capability aimed at transforming how organizations measure and improve employee security awareness. The company announced the launch of its Custom SAPA (Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment) AI Agent, designed to deliver tailored, organization-specific assessments instead of relying on generic testing models.

The new agent is part of KnowBe4’s broader AIDA platform, a suite of AI-powered defense tools focused on managing both human and AI-related risk. With this release, the company is shifting security awareness assessments from standardized questionnaires toward more contextual and data-driven evaluations aligned with each organization’s unique environment.

Traditionally, tools like SAPA have been used to establish a baseline understanding of employee security knowledge. However, as organizations mature their security programs, there is increasing demand for assessments that reflect internal policies, workflows, and the specific technologies in use. The Custom SAPA Agent addresses this gap by dynamically generating questions based on an organization’s actual security ecosystem and industry context.

According to KnowBe4, the goal is to provide security leaders with more precise and actionable insights By aligning assessments with real-world conditions inside the organization, the platform enables teams to better identify knowledge gaps, justify security investments, and prioritize remediation efforts with greater confidence.

The system also offers administrative oversight, allowing security teams to review and refine generated questions to ensure relevance and accuracy. In addition, detailed response analysis provides deeper visibility into how employees understand and interact with security concepts, helping uncover hidden risk patterns across the workforce.

One of the key advantages of the new agent is its ability to directly connect assessment results to targeted training initiatives. Instead of broad, one-size-fits-all programs, organizations can develop focused security awareness campaigns that address their most critical vulnerabilities.

The development of the Custom SAPA Agent builds on extensive historical data, including millions of completed assessments across tens of thousands of organizations. This dataset has enabled KnowBe4 to refine its approach, creating a more adaptive system capable of evolving alongside modern threat landscapes As cyber threats increasingly exploit human behavior alongside technical vulnerabilities, tools that provide deeper insight into user risk are becoming essential. KnowBe4’s latest release reflects a broader industry trend toward personalized, intelligence-driven security training designed to strengthen the human layer of defense.
