As enterprises rapidly adopt AI driven workflows, the movement of sensitive data across systems has become more dynamic and difficult to secure. CrowdStrike’s latest announcement reflects a growing need for real time, unified data protection in what many now describe as the agentic enterprise.
At RSA 2026, CrowdStrike introduced Falcon Data Security, a new solution designed to stop data theft across modern enterprise environments. Built on the Falcon platform and powered by adversary intelligence, the offering enables organizations to discover, classify, and prevent data exposure in real time, whether the risk stems from human error, insider threats, or attackers leveraging valid credentials.
CrowdStrike Falcon Data Security addresses a key gap in traditional security models. Legacy tools such as data loss prevention and cloud security posture management were designed for static environments, where data remained within defined boundaries. However, AI has transformed how information is created, accessed, and shared across endpoints, cloud services, SaaS applications, and AI workflows, making static protection methods insufficient.
“AI has fundamentally changed how quickly data is created, accessed, and shared, placing sensitive information in constant motion,” said Elia Zaitsev, chief technology officer at CrowdStrike. “Legacy data protection tools were built for a world where data was static. Falcon Data Security discovers, classifies, and defends sensitive data wherever it exists, at rest and in motion. This is data security for the agentic era.”
The new solution introduces a unified approach to data security by combining visibility across identity, endpoints, cloud environments, SaaS platforms, and AI systems into a single architecture. This integrated model allows security teams to gain contextual insights into how data moves across domains, helping them distinguish between legitimate activity and potential threats.
Falcon Data Security also incorporates AI powered classification capabilities, enabling organizations to automatically identify sensitive data as it is created and shared. The platform extends protection to generative AI use cases, preventing unintended exposure of critical information across both managed and unmanaged AI tools. In addition, it provides real time cloud data visibility, allowing teams to monitor how data is accessed and transferred rather than relying on static snapshots.
By correlating signals from across multiple environments, the platform offers a comprehensive view of user behavior, device activity, and access patterns. This cross domain context helps organizations prioritize risks and respond more effectively. Automated enforcement capabilities further strengthen protection by blocking risky data transfers, preventing unauthorized access, and triggering response actions through integrated workflows.
CrowdStrike emphasized that modern data security must evolve alongside the increasing complexity of enterprise ecosystems. As AI continues to drive new ways of working, data is no longer confined to a single location but constantly moves between systems, users, and applications.
The launch of CrowdStrike Falcon Data Security highlights a broader industry shift toward real time, intelligence driven protection models. By unifying detection, classification, and response within a single platform, CrowdStrike is positioning itself to help organizations safeguard sensitive information and reduce data theft risks in an increasingly interconnected and AI powered digital landscape.
