AppViewX, a leading provider of machine identity management solutions, has announced the acquisition of Eos, an AI-native identity control platform designed to secure AI agents and autonomous enterprise workloads. The move brings together AppViewX’s capabilities in certificate lifecycle management (CLM) and public key infrastructure (PKI) with Eos’s expertise in agentic governance and privileged access control, creating a unified platform for managing machine and AI-driven identities. The acquisition marks a significant step in AppViewX’s transition toward an AI-native security platform, aimed at protecting machines, workloads, and intelligent agents across cloud and hybrid environments.
As part of the leadership transition, Archit Lohokare, co-founder and CEO of Eos, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of AppViewX. He succeeds Dino DiMarino, who has stepped down from the role. Lohokare brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a background spanning identity, data, and endpoint security. Prior to founding Eos, he held a senior leadership position at CyberArk, where he contributed to the development of next-generation identity security solutions. Lohokare emphasized that AI agents are increasingly operating autonomously within enterprise environments, often with privileged access to sensitive systems and data. He noted that identity will serve as the central control layer for managing these agents, and organizations require unified governance, visibility, and enforcement mechanisms to securely scale AI adoption.
The acquisition also brings key technical leadership into AppViewX. Kashyap Ivaturi, co-founder and CTO of Eos, will take on the role of Chief Technology Officer at AppViewX. Meanwhile, current CTO Madhu Venkatarajan will transition to Chief Engineering Officer and General Manager for India operations, focusing on scaling engineering capabilities and accelerating product delivery. Ivaturi brings extensive experience in building secure, enterprise-grade SaaS platforms, having previously held leadership roles at CyberArk and ServiceNow. His expertise is expected to drive AppViewX’s innovation and support its AI-focused roadmap.
Industry leaders note that as organizations deploy more AI agents and autonomous systems, the identity attack surface is expanding rapidly. These agents often operate dynamically, making it essential to monitor, control, and govern their access to critical resources. By combining Eos’s AI-native identity governance with AppViewX’s machine identity platform, the company aims to provide a comprehensive solution that secures both traditional machine identities and emerging AI-driven entities.
Ian Loring, Senior Managing Director and Executive Chair at Haveli Investments, highlighted that the integration strengthens AppViewX’s position in the identity security market, enabling it to address the growing complexity of managing machines, workloads, and AI agents within a single platform. Similarly, John Barrow, Chief Information Security Officer at JB Poindexter, noted that AI agents represent a new category of identity that introduces unique risks. He emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring, auditing, and lifecycle management to ensure secure and controlled access. With this acquisition, AppViewX is positioning itself at the forefront of identity security innovation, addressing the evolving challenges posed by AI-driven environments. The combined platform is designed to help enterprises maintain visibility, enforce policy, and manage risk as they scale automation and intelligent workloads By integrating machine identity management with AI agent governance, AppViewX aims to provide organizations with the tools needed to innovate securely while adapting to the demands of an increasingly autonomous digital landscape.
