Information Services Group (ISG), a global AI-focused technology research and advisory firm, has announced the launch of a new in-depth research study aimed at assessing cybersecurity service providers that support enterprises in safeguarding sensitive data across hybrid IT environments and strengthening overall cyber resilience.

As organizations continue to modernize their digital ecosystems, they increasingly operate within complex hybrid architectures that span cloud, on-premises, and edge environments. Consequently, protecting critical data and ensuring operational continuity have become top priorities. Against this backdrop, ISG’s upcoming study will examine how cybersecurity providers are evolving their offerings to address these emerging challenges.

The findings from this initiative will be published in a comprehensive series of ISG Provider Lens reports titled Cybersecurity Services and Solutions, scheduled for release in July 2026. These reports will analyze a wide range of cybersecurity capabilities, including strategic security services, technical security services, risk-based vulnerability management, cybersecurity software platforms, and other advanced security solutions.

Moreover, the reports will serve as a practical resource for enterprise buyers. They will help organizations review existing vendor relationships, explore potential partnerships, and better understand the breadth of services currently available in the market. At the same time, ISG’s advisory teams will leverage the research insights to guide buy-side clients toward providers that best match their business, risk, and technology requirements.

Enterprises across all industries are now under mounting pressure to defend increasingly distributed IT environments while responding to more sophisticated, AI-enabled cyber threats. In parallel, regulatory bodies and corporate boards are demanding stronger proof of cyber resilience, improved data controls, and clearer governance frameworks. As a result, many organizations are turning to strategic cybersecurity services that align technical protection with governance, risk management, and enterprise architecture goals. Together, these forces are making cybersecurity a core pillar of digital transformation strategies.

The cybersecurity market is reorganizing itself into clearly defined capability domains, said Heiko Henkes, managing director, ISG Provider Lens Research. As regulatory demands expand, enterprises are seeking providers that can deliver cyber resilience through strategy, technical execution and intelligence-driven operations.

To support the research, ISG has distributed surveys to more than 350 cybersecurity vendors worldwide. Working closely with ISG’s global advisory teams, the research group will develop seven evaluation quadrants reflecting the cybersecurity services and solutions most commonly adopted by enterprises today.

These quadrants will include Strategic Security Services, which focus on consulting-led engagements around governance, risk, operating models, and organizational change. Technical Security Services will assess providers that design, integrate, and modernize multi-vendor IT and OT security environments. The study will also evaluate Next-gen SOC and MDR services, which emphasize continuous monitoring, detection, and response, often delivered through co-managed models.

In addition, ISG will analyze Risk-based Vulnerability Management providers that prioritize threats based on exploitability, exposure, and business impact. Another quadrant will focus on Post-quantum Encryption Consulting, highlighting firms that help enterprises prepare for cryptographic transitions driven by quantum computing risks. The research will also cover Data Leakage/Loss Prevention and Data Security solutions, along with Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platforms that integrate telemetry, analytics, and automated response capabilities.

Furthermore, geographically focused reports will explore the cybersecurity landscape in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S. public sector. Analysts from each region will author localized insights to reflect market-specific dynamics. ISG has made additional study details and a list of identified providers available through a digital brochure. Companies that are not yet included but offer relevant cybersecurity services or solutions are encouraged to contact ISG to request participation.
