RealDefense, a leading innovator in consumer privacy, cybersecurity, and device optimization, has announced the launch of RemoveMe, an automated service that streamlines the process of removing personal information from data brokers, people-search platforms, and data aggregation sites. The service also provides continuous monitoring to ensure users’ data stays protected over time.
“RemoveMe makes data-broker removal simple, transparent, and ongoing—so our customers can reduce doxxing risks, cut down on spam and robocalls, and help safeguard their families’ information,” said Gary Guseinov, CEO of RealDefense.

RemoveMe’s technology combines a free, real-time scan of data-broker websites with automated opt-out submissions and continuous monitoring. Upon activation, the platform scans across a wide network of broker and people-search databases, verifies and processes data removal requests, tracks their completion, and automatically reinitiates removals if a user’s data resurfaces. Users gain full visibility through a live dashboard that displays exposures found, removal progress, and confirmation updates.
Additional features include dark-web monitoring, unused account deletion, and social media profile cleanup guidance, allowing individuals to take a holistic approach to managing their online privacy.
Guseinov emphasized that data privacy shouldn’t require hours of manual work:
“Consumers shouldn’t need 200 hours, a spreadsheet, and a law degree to stay private online. RemoveMe automates the entire process, ensuring privacy protection without constant effort.”
According to the Federal Trade Commission, U.S. consumers lost more than $12.5 billion to fraud in 2024, while the Identity Theft Resource Center recorded 3,205 publicly disclosed data breaches in 2023, impacting roughly 353 million individuals. These incidents underscore the urgent need for proactive personal data protection. Research also shows that 98% of Americans’ personal information is accessible online, and 84% of people express concern about digital privacy.

Why RemoveMe Matters: The Hidden Impact of Data Brokers
- Spam and Targeted Scams:
Data-broker profiles often include phone numbers, demographic details, and behavioral insights—information that scammers use to craft convincing robocalls or phishing messages. Reducing broker exposure limits how effectively criminals can target individuals. - Home Address and Doxxing Risks:
Many people-search websites publish home addresses, family connections, and other identifying details. When this data is cross-referenced with leaked credentials, it can facilitate stalking, harassment, or social engineering attacks. - Account Takeovers and Impersonation:
Exposed profile information, combined with breached data, helps attackers impersonate legitimate institutions and execute account takeovers with alarming accuracy. - Data Persistence:
Even after initial opt-outs, data brokers frequently republish personal records. Without ongoing monitoring, users risk reappearing in public listings—highlighting the need for continuous, automated removal.
“Privacy is not a one-time event—it’s an ongoing lifecycle,” said Dermot Wall, Chief Product Officer at RealDefense. “Our philosophy is simple: set and stay private. We scan broadly, remove quickly, and continuously monitor so users don’t have to worry about being re-exposed.”
