In the report, Omdia Senior Principal Analyst Fernando Montenegro highlights how the acquisition enables the Absolute Resilience Platform to deliver a single, comprehensive platform for resilient and proactive endpoint, application, and access security.
“This move by Absolute complements its existing endpoint and network security offerings by adding robust, automated patch and vulnerability management tools to its firmware-embedded platform,” said Montenegro. “When considered with its 2021 acquisition of secure access provider NetMotion, these investments position Absolute as offering a platform approach that integrates visibility, control, recovery, and proactive remediation.”
According to Omdia, the acquisition adds new dimensions to Absolute’s platform by enabling customers to efficiently manage risks associated with patching, misconfigurations, and unknown IT assets. These capabilities align with enterprise buyers seeking to improve their resilience and security posture, consolidate solutions, and address the unique challenges that highly distributed hybrid and remote work environments bring to maintaining security and resilience for endpoints, applications, and access management.
“With 70 percent of breaches traceable to known vulnerabilities, it’s critical that enterprises have a resilient solution for patching and vulnerability remediation that they can rely on to run continuously,” said Christy Wyatt, CEO, Absolute Security. “By integrating Syxsense’s automated patch and vulnerability remediation capabilities into the Absolute platform, we can ensure our customers will find and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations before they lead to catastrophic breaches and outages.”
